Took a bike ride today and saw this maybe 5 foot long Bull Snake sunning on the path. I took a photo of his front side and back side along with a closeup from about 6' away of it's head. After he or she? was getting tire of me disturbing it's peace it slowly snakes off to the grass and I tapped on the tip of it's tail with my foot. That snake turned around real quick and curled up ready to fight. It sure gave me one nasty look for touching his tail. It's best it goes off the trail anyways and not catch the attention of one of those big Red Tail Hawks that comb the area looking for some meat to eat. I see those Red Tails very often flying over head with a snake this size in it's talons.
