I began searching this area three years ago and still it surprises me.
The first target was this ring. Probably 9-10 AD.

Mint and Date: Dyrrhachium, 370-330 BCE.
Size and Weight: 13mm, 2.69g
Obverse: Head of Herakles right, draped in lion-skin.
Reverse: Pegasos flying right.

Very nice 2000 year old finds! Nothing like that can every be found over here in America...
 

It's already freezing here... It's this time of year (and only this time of year) that I wish I lived somewhere warmer for the sake of detecting. Awesome finds!

I can't hunt from june to the end of September. It's very hot and is very common to encounter different kind of snakes. This is the perfect moment.

Thanks buddy! Yes, you're right. I've found coins from 4th BC till 15th AD. The most of them are around 2nd BC to 1st AD so I guess that was the best period for this area. In 1273, a there was a very strong earthquakes that destroyed e few cities around this area.
