Nice Franklin half Merf... The mosquitoes are brutal here as well... Luckily none have actually bitten me... Sure have messed up my train of thought though...

WTG merf ! i'd say it was worth it also ;)

Awesome find. Great job, not sure if I would have dealt with the mosquitos.

Sweet Franklin. WTG.

Nice 1/2 Merf. I'd love to find silver that big! ;D
I remember the mosquito's up north (Wis., Ind , Ill., Mich., etc). They are so much bigger than those little stealth bomber type down south here. The ones here you can't feel on you. Also the ticks are smaller too. I remember the ticks in the midwest would suck up a pint of blood in a single serving! :o Ouch.
Congrats,
MM

Nice! In that first picture, it looks like Ben has a shiner; he healed up well, though.

Really nice Franklin. Nice pennies also.

Oh yeah, Nice Benjamin! I would sweat for that. I've only found one of those. Harder to find than the walkers.

Sweet! I would love to see Ben's bald head in one of my plugs. LOL

Very nice Half!! WTG

Nice to meet you Mr.Franklin, those things scream like a tin can. it really is sick the extremes we will go through to pull some silver.Have no less than 5 bites on me tonight though I think a couple are ants and maybe a chigger or two Im hoping, keep that thing swingin'...Shoot

Congrats on the big silver...

'ole Ben is hard to find!! Congrats!!

your ears still ringing from the benjy?

Love getting those half's too..... WTG merf

NIce finds!!
If you wanna see the date on those Wheaties, Heat up a few inches of Hydrogen Peroxide in a microwave safe bowl until it starts to bubble, then put the pennies in and watch it fizz!

After the fizzing calms you can take a wet Q-tip and wipe off the dirt to see the dates.

Nice Franklin!
What a rush it must be to see one of those come out of the dirt!

I've never dug one up, but after I detected this guys yard, he came out and handed me one in a tiny envelope. The guy was like 79 years old. He insisted I take it. So I did.

That was 11 years ago.

Anyway. Congratulations!
