It was a beautiful weekend here getting up into the mid 60's. I didn't have any time to go out until late Sunday afternoon. My little girl and I headed to a spot that I had found a few silver dimes at last year. We didn't have much time to hunt and I wasn't expecting much, but was just glad to be out. We found a few wheaties and then a Rosie. I got a 12-40 signal and thought it would be a screw cap but when I turned the plug over it was a penny, nickel and silver sandwich. That was a fun surprise! It was just about dark when I decide to hit the edges before heading home. About a foot from the curb but close to an old maple tree, I got a very nice 1-46 2-46 signal but was shallow. I was hoping for a half but was expecting a crushed can. Cut my plug and scooped out the dirt between all the roots and out came that Big Silver coin! That was an awesome surprise! It was caked with dirt so we cleaned it up a little and revealed a nice 1935s Walker. HH David

That's a good day and one to remember. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! Congrats on the big silver. I like the way that the cent stained the Rosie... makes FDR look a little green around the gills!

Great hunt! I too hunt with my daughter, I dig nice clean a plug, she pin points and recovers the treasure. I replace the plug and clean-up and off to the next target.

Great hunt and finds. Making memories with your daughter, priceless! Glad to see that Beautiful Walker see daylight again. A beautiful coin for sure!

Congrats on a great hunt and some nice coins! I especially like the old Ford key, so now go out an find that old Ford.

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with this snowbound northern boy

Nice Walker Dave! I remember the first one I found I felt the same way. Didn't expect much more than a can but got a nice surprise.

Awesome hunt Dave!! Congrats!!
Every hunt seems your finding Awesome finds, no exception on this hunt. Sweet to see you got to share this hunt with your daughter.
Big silver is at the top of my bucket list, hopefully her name we be Morgan too.

Silver halves do NOT come easily. That one is especially nice. Congratulations.

Sweet Walker you dug there.

There's nothing quite like digging out a silver that huge, is there? Very nice. What's the token or ? with the large "S" on it?

Really nice finds ! That's a good silver haul in one hunt !

Good finds, my friend

absolutely fantastic!, that's a nice shot of the coin spill, and that walker, well that's just freakin sweet!!

It's an old Bull's Eye blue jean button.

Nice looking Walker.

Nice Walker Dave! I remember the first one I found I felt the same way. Didn't expect much more than a can but got a nice surprise.

The problem with me is that I expect a Walker (or any nice big coin for the matter) and get a can, I need to change my philosophy ASAP :laughing7:!
