I headed out late this morning. The first couple of spots were no good.
I decided to swing by yesterday’s spot to give it another shot. It’s a Smittyman permission, I called him but he couldn’t attend.
I found a bunch of these yesterday. Maybe a dozen during the 2 days. I can not figure out how so many of these got in the 1 acre front yard of a house built in 1957. Gas station bathroom condom foil packs!

On to the coins. I convinced myself that a gold ring was bound to be in that grass somewhere. I dug about 25 pull rings, and found 6 Jefferson nickels in the process. No gold ring though.

Three wheaties showed up today.

It wasn’t too long before I stumbled upon a nice high tone. When I pulled the plug out a silver dime was just laying there.

I found a Washington quarter next, I got excited and didn’t get any pictures.
I was up by the road, and got one of those “can bottom” hits, big, high and shallow. It sounded good, but aluminum cans always do.
I pulled the plug out and couldn’t believe my eyes. I knew as soon as I saw the fat reeded edge that some careless person had lost a silver half dollar.

This is the 17th silver half dollar I’ve found in 5 years of detecting. It’s still a big thrill to me.

Here are the 3 silver coins that I found today. It was a very good for me. Thanks Smittyman.

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.
