I managed to get off work early and racked my brain hard on where to go detecting. I decided to try walking a grassy road into the woods behind a old house i hunted before. On the way back digging along the road itself i found a button and then a little locket that i thought was gold for sure but ended up being gold plated/filled after i got home and cleaned it up. The glass was cracked so whatever was inside it was long rotted away. I wonder what it could’ve held once upon a time? Anyway the find of the day came soon after when i seen a area of trees that were obviously purposely planted there long ago because they were all in perfectly straight rows. I walked up and down the separate rows of trees and then got a nice hit under a root. I dug the hole and around 6” pulled out a nice 1929 fifty cent piece. I couldn’t believe it. Im lucky i didn’t nick it trying to dig around that tree root. I’m glad i decided to try that road. Thanks for looking! [emoji2][emoji106]
