Yes it is. I really like it, its definatly my biggest bottle. I guess everyone stood around this thing in the old days. Its pre watercooler.

Here are some other pics of it. The chain keeps the bottle ftom sliding out of the stand when you tilt it to pour.

Think I got a new moonshine dispenser.

We have similar devices where I work. We call them tippers.

Is there a label engraved on the bottle?
Chances are, the camping dispenser was originally acquired from Perfection Water Company....
They got bought out by my company back in the 80's....
We still have a few of those kicking around my branch, the rookies always ask what they are...
I got a few old timers on my route that still use them.

Looks like the bottle says Crystal Springs Water....which is spot on....that's my company.
The base of the bottle should a date code, when it was made. Best guess, 1970's...maybe 1960's....
The old school glass bottles fell out of favor, as employees and customers kept getting ugly lacerations when they broke. Plus, the weight....a lot heavier than the plastic.
Good chance that bottle was for distilled water....

The bottle itself is not pre-water cooler.... They were made for water coolers, earliest water coolers were about a hundred years ago

We still sell glass bottles to some customers....none on my route, thank goodness...
People pay $20 per 5 gals, some get 4-5 bottles every 2 weeks...

Wow. Thats so cool. !!! Thanks for that bigwave dave. We all grew up on crystal springs water here in south florida. I remember it from child hood. I have some strange luck dave. What r the odds of me posting a pick of my find on this site and your a member too. Well, I sure do like it its the biggest bottle in my collection. Thanks for all the info. We love our crystal springs here in the keys.

My friend Omar had that route for two years a few years ago....I don't know who runs that route now.
Big $ route, that's for sure....no other company delivers down there that I know of....
