This weekend was the biggest weekend for garage sales in my area! Every community around me was having their annual sale. Then I found out my church was having our monthly food giveaway for those in need! So I only had an hour to hit sales before duty called. I bought some silver and a bit of costume jewelry too. I had just missed a guy who sold three great condition Toro lawnmowers(the powered walk-behinds), a Craftsman tabletop saw sealed in the box, and some batteries and other stuff...$400. His wife said he was getting rid of the stuff to make room for new mowers in his garage! But I did get a Haynes Pontiac repair manual for $2 and he sold me the Sony radio in sealed package for $5. I didn't know the value but knew sealed radios sell for decent money. Sold it tonight for Best Offer on eBay..$145.00. Could have gotten more, but the fast dime vs the slow nickel!

$145, damn! I would have passed on that. Good info.

Did you mean fast nickel vs slow dime?

LOL! I had to go back and read what I wrote! I'm not even gonna edit it! Yes, fast nickel is sometimes better than a sloooow dime!

Wait... You got $145 for a modern am/fm radio?

Why on earth would someone pay $145 for that? :icon_scratch:

Sealed electronics by major Japanese brands sell well. I've come across several in the past.
