Still haven’t found my first complete point, but I’m getting closer. Went for a 20 minute walk about an hour ago and found this in the sand staring up at me. 🙂

Nice! Is that an oyster spat stuck to it?

Actually, it's a shallow depression. Looks like the other ear/barb was removed when that piece flaked off. But...the stubby ear is worked to the shoulder, so either the piece was re-worked, or it looked like this originally.

Can anyone identify the material? I have no knowledge about materials yet.

Looks complete enough, it does have a ancient impact fracture on the tip but at least it's not modern damage. I would still put it in a frame. The material looks to be heavily stained chert. The side definitely appears to have been reworked/resharpened.
 

That to me is a complete point and very nice.
