Low tide at the beach was 4:19am today, and I got there about 5:15am (which was pretty tough since it was the big beach party last night that we go to every year with our friends here on Cape Cod).
In addition to a bunch of pull tabs and some can lids, and a huge lock, I got a handful of coins including a half dollar.
About 20 minutes into my 3 hours of hunting in the knee to waist deep water, I pulled up what I believe to be Andre the Giant's 18K gold wedding band. I am a big guy - 6'4" and 270 pounds. This ring is big on my index finger. Then towards the end of the hunt I pulled up the sterling ring with stone in it. I would be shocked if it were a real diamond, as I have never heard of a diamond being set in a thin sterling ring like this, but the stone does give off a lot of colors in the sunlight like a diamond does.
Anyways, here are my pics. The second picture has the gold ring I found side by side with my wedding band so you can see how huge this ring is. I think my wedding band is a size 10.5...
