That's still a cool shot, I love the way you got him flying away. We have Flickers here rarely, but yellow shafted? Do the have a yellow bill?

Not sure about the beak color. The males have a side dark areas called moustaches. About as big as a blue jay. I have a number of feeders but have forgotten them for MDing--except when it snows heavy.
 

Alrighty if these pictures come out as small as I think >:(. Anyways here is a picture (I hope after 3 tries :D) of the Northern and the Yellow. They are a really neat bird, that is really hard to catch with a camera, I had one at the feeder a few weeks ago.

That's them. I'll see if I can find a BIGGER picture. LOL
Male with whiskers, not moustache...did anybody see my brains?
