Bird Stone?

Hey, I found this while walking in the creek on my property. Just the head was sticking out a little.
It’s definitely a carved stone, just not sure how old it is? Or what the other two little holes would’ve been for.
There’s a registered Native American pond under half a mile from me.
Any help is appreciated!

No, but a pretty good likeness of a birds head. Still, a naturally formed stone. Birdstones are among the most faked Native American Artifacts--mainly because they sell for hefty prices.

Looks like a broken part of something that ende up kinda bird head shaped. No clue what it is or who if anyone made it. Worth checking out.

Nope, Note a Birdstone at all... reminds me of the flint nodules we find in texas, but after seeing the butt end Its not Flint. Possibly a nodule of some other type stone though ...

The "holes" and depressions are where softer material eroded away over a long time! Not sure of the material but it doesn't look suitable compared to the ones I've observed. It doesn't have any evidence of pecking, grinding nor polishing that I can see. It's a cool-looking, pareidolic rock.

Sorry, not a birdstone or even Indian artifact. If you blow your picture up you can also tell the holes are natural.

A close up of the tip and a hole. You’re all probably right, just a piece broken off one of the bigger river bottom eroded stones. That’s a larger piece I found and looks similar, although a lot more porous
