I am amazed how big this animal was, it comes into light when you actually see it for yourself. I found these yesterday on a surface creek hunt in Northwest Missouri. Every time i go i find at least one. We had a good rain so this is what i get, i will take this all day long, even though this was a little over an hour.

Nice group of bones! You'll have an excellent comparison collection in no time.

In this group of images, the "radius" appears to be a tibia. Compare with this cow tibia:

The broken end of a femur is called an epiphysis, sometimes called a "growth plate." This end of a long bone is unfused to the shaft of the bone until the animal stops growing (maturity). So, your femur part is from a sub-adult animal.

Harry, only reason i say Radius is that the last Tibia i found was 14.5 inches long, this one beats it by a long way. Maybe it was a sub adult as well?

I am sorry to ever doubt you Harry, you are correct in saying the top bone is in fact a tibia, last one i found was not as big.
