Black Cat Cigarette Sign - question on age

Hi,

I recently purchased what I believe to be a black cat cigarette sign from the 20's or 30's. Does any one know how I can tell the age and/or confirm that it is not an aged reproduction.

The odd things I see:

1. The layered chipped paint doesn't look worn.
2. I don't see any dark black rust in any of the larger chips.
3. The whole thing looks sand blasted with consistent white spot marks in the face of the cat.
4. The back has the propane torch look at the bottom...make the front paint pop off.

Its a very neat sign and I would love to have one.
