Looks like fire damage. I found a clad quarter that was similar.
 

Heat damage for sure.

We have a whole passel of coins from a fire and they all are burnt like that or stuck together.. Same color too...icky gray.

I have this dime ...it's all black and the back of it has a bubble trying to see if it may be worth anything..
That is interesting. I found this dime a while back!

The "Bubble" looks like a hit with a BB at close range.

Tell us and show us more. Is that what I think it is?
It sure appeared that way when I found it, but the homeowner wanted it. I have never seen one like it since.
