Made in Japan...but you already know that.

Its rather new, in my opinion, and maybe $10 in a garage sale...

Heya, new as in made within the last 20~ years? Because I found a similar set and theirs they claim is from the 50s 1950's 1950s Vintage Asian Oriental Aquatic by parkestatecompany. The lacquer on this set is peeling off in lots of areas and looks hand painted.
