Black lines on LCD screen when turning off the Simplex

No black lines on my screen. I have only had the Simplex for 3 days and turned it on and off maybe 10 times.

I just got my tonight and set it up in the house, I did notice the lines when I turned it off, I thought it was because I was in the house and would see if it continued tomorrow when I try it outside. The horizontal lines are definitely there when the machine is shut down, it did it more than once.

You did say horizontal lines? Why I ask is my lines are vertical from top to bottom.

I just got home from work and saw your post, my mistake vertical lines, I will check outside tomorrow if I finish before dark

Nokta Makro got back to me and sent me this email:

“Hello there... checked with the team.
Team says may be a small bug with the software.
They will look into it.
However, this is not something that will affect the performance.
Once they fix it, we can release an update.”

So that’s awesome that they’re willing to work on a fix.
 

Rustygold what software version are you using ?
 

Gary I just updated to ver 2.68. Lines were there prior to the update as well.
 

I have the 2.68 and i get no lines was why i was asking .
I just got mine 11/20 /2019

Nokta Makro got back to me and sent me this email:

That’s about it so far. It a little worrisome but I believe Nok/Mak will come up with the fix and send out an update for those affected.

It sounds like your talking about a leaking LCD screen.

Happy to report no leaks after a 2 hour soaking. Thanks Treasure Hunter!
 

Has anyone noticed thick black lines (starting from top to bottom) when shutting the Simplex off? OK did a factory reset and that didn’t take care of the problem.
So I have contacted Nokta Makro repair here in the USA and they are going to let me know how Nokta Makro wants to handle it...

I never looked at my screen as I shut it off until this morning and... I too have the Black Lines when shutting it off. I'm also on Firmware 2.68.

I had a heck of a time finding the Factory Reset process for the new Firmware update - During power on at logo, press the Pinpointer and Settings buttons then release when hearing the three beeps.

Thanks for reporting to Nokta! Looking forward to an update.
