I'd like to try my gold cube along the river by the south jetty and I can't find any definitive info on permits or regulations. Any help or info is appreciated.

I go to Long Beach a few times a year to run sand but would really like to check out some deposits I've located on the Oregon side. Not on the ocean beach mind you, but on the Columbia.

You will need a gold pan!! And then go to Gold Beach Or. Stuff is real fine. We used to pick it up with mercury. Make sponge gold. Bad stuff to work with (mercury).

Hey Mike.....
I know this is an old thread but, did you ever get to the area you were wondering about?
If so how did you do?
