I don't usually pick up CWR dimes (I always get shorted), but my order bank is terrible so I tried anyway. Got $230 from 5 different banks.

All rolls were skunks untiiiiiiilllll..... Second to last roll, out pops 3 silver rims. thump thump. thump thump. Out pops a 1994 Canadian dime. thump thump. thump thump. Out pops a 1981 Canadian dime. Damn Canadians!!

And finally, out pops a 1951 Rosie :) Funny how those got grouped together. Only find for today (and the first find of the month ;)) :headbang:

In due time, you'll start being able to tell the difference between Steel Canadians and Silver Roosies. The Steel Canadians appear overly shiny, while most Silver Roosies have a worn whiteish look. I got revenge on the Canadians by pulling a 1943 80% Silver Canadian Dime once.

Save them.. they're worth more than a U.S. dime.. better than getting British 5 pences

I actually really like getting 1979 or older Canadian pennies. I save them and have 3 rolls worth knowing that they can be melted and sold closer to melt here in the states. Ebay prices reflect that.

Every once in a while you will find the elusive silver Canadian dime. I find about 1 per $1,200 searched.

i hate canadians! i too have gotten revenge though, and found 2 silver canadian dimes over time. your day will come. keep it up and hh! [R.I.P. Rich Hartford]

I found one more roll on the floor and I thought I finally beat those dang Canadians. 1961 dime with the queen on it... nope. It's a 10 cent piece from British Carribean Territories. No trace of silver I think.... Not sure if there's any other value to the coin.

I have a goal of filling a jar/bottle with Canadian coinage found. When it is full, I've made the reward/goal a trip to Niagara, but only until it is full. I have a lot of good memories of visiting there and I'd like to do it again. With having as much silver that I've found over the years, I almost prefer finding the Canadian coins as it gets me closer to my goal. Same with cents. I have so many jars and totes filled with wheaties that a good box is when I cull a lot of Canadians cents. To each their own...

It's CuNi; but at least one of the lowest minted years for that series...........

I'm in MI so we get a lot of Canadian coinage, it bugs the crap outta me.

I have found one silver canadian dime (1957). I find alot of nickel or steel canadian dimes because I live near the border. I use coin counters at my banks to dump most of the my coins and they won't take canadian. It makes things a little more difficult.

I recently went through several CWR of dimes from my local bank and many were marked with a person's name, an old-fashioned sounding name so I thought these could be good. I found a silver Rosie in one roll and what I thought was another...but guess what...it was a Canadian and it was NOT silver. Bummer! I did eventually find one more of his rolls that had a Rosie so all was not lost.
