Blank Planchet

A neat little find yesterday in a cent box. Clearly someone had previously taken exception with the appearance of one side, which is too bad. Also pulled a 1998 "Wide AM" in pretty decent condition.

I found something similar in a recent box of cents, except both sides were completely smooth.

Too bad your planchet is really scratched like that. I have yet to find a planchet. Neat find.

I have 7 blank planchets. One is blank on ONE side, which is cool. It looks like a normal penny on the face side, and in good condition. the other side is as smooth as can be.

I like blanks. :-)
