Blind as a turtle..

Went down the Meadows to look around,walked back into the swamp and see the beavers are still taking a bite or two.




A bit further in and I spot this guy,I thought he was dead until I saw his head move really slow.I believe he's on his way out..




Quarter for size..




Something gnawed its tail too..




I'd say this thing has been eyeless for quite some time,from the shell damage it looks like something wanted it for lunch.

Poor turtle

I stepped on a 2 1/2 foot Garter snake yesterday..maybe last day in the sun. Coaxed into a dead stump hollow..he may make it.
