Nope. Have not found one sank.
There are modern stainless. Many aluminum. Old bronze/ brass.
In many years of boating I have not heard of a lost one.
Could happen changing a damaged one though....
They are secure when installed properly , and most have a shear pin or slip hub to limit damage to drive.

There have been multiple small outboard motors lost overboard though!
If you recover one ,re submerge it in water to avoid air etching jets , causing corrosion ect......until serviced.
 

I have pulled one blade from a prop that was broke off and it was steel.
