Hi everyone! Was curios to know about Bob marx's books... He has a book out that lists sunken ships and possibly what was on board them... Are these ships still salvageable or do people and governments already lay claim to them? Thanks the information!

Every wreck and every country will have different circumstances regarding ownership, salvage laws, heritage laws etc. etc.

What you need to do is pick any wreck in the book that you think is worth looking for and then start some basic research.

You will find some wrecks don't or never did exist, some never carried what they thought, some have been found and worked publicly or secretly, some are in areas that you cannot work due to environmental restrictions, some are thought historically important so the archaeologist will stop you, others are in areas with no ports, strong tides, thick mud, sand or coral, or in areas prone to huge waves that might make location or excavation difficult etc. etc.

The remaining might be full of Treasure and need to be found and worked.

The difficult part, is working out what are the ones out of the hundreds that are listed are the ones that you could realistically locate and work.

Over the years there has been thousands looking for treasure wrecks, but only a few are luckily enough to find a new one.
