I have no idea what this is. I found it next to a Fire Road in an area where the Chinese
among others use to prospect. It is wood, looks old and I don't think it would be sturdy
enough to string wire on due to the shallow peg on the bottom. The blue color looks
like paint. Anyhow there it is.
Thanks for looking
Rich

Looks like a finial or decoration from a piece of furniture, like a bed frame, or whatever else.

Thanks Jim,
That makes sense. It just doesn't make sense where it was found. I guess like gold,
treasure is where you find it.
Thanks again,
Rich

It could be a distaff off a spinning wheel.

No hole in the rounded end.

Thanks for resizing it Mrs. Oroblanco.

Amazing how curious treasure hunters are, isn't it.

No problem.

I think it is a finial also. Could be to an old clock or dresser or whatever. We still use them today.

Thanks for all the input, I believe it is just a bit of furniture. Sometimes looking at
a part of the whole without the whole baffles you. At least it did me.
Thanks again
