I am waiting for an invitation to see his musuem. Like in the movie "Field of Dreams" Build it and they will come. Nice Awl Mr.Larson. Good polish and patina. Pretty cool finding the other half !
 

As stated before you find some awesome stuff. I hope this well post I found an awl a few years back in on of the many rivers we have here in the south. This is the only whole one I've found.

i like the color
it is made different than the pieces I find that are made from that type of bone
is that a deer leg bone?????
 

yeh Larson its deer tibia found in the river so the result is this dark patina.Found in association with some bone pins.
