So today i took my 9 yr old cousin on his first detecting trip. He told me on the way there that what he really wants to find is a flat button and a pocket knife. Believe it or not his first target was a flat button. Not long after that he got the book binder. The chinese coin and wheats are mine.

The Chinese coin is likely from the 1760s You can go online and type old Chinese coin and find the exact dates, Emperor, and dynasty. Interesting where these things pop up. I just found one in Ashland, Or from around 1764. Nice finds! HH

Thanks for the link. Havent found it yet

Nice! The old Chinese coin looks like the one I dug back in January: EMPEROR HSUAN TSUNG, 1821-1850, Peking China.

Use this link, about 2/3rds down the page. Coin id S-1512. coins of china, the Ch'ing Dynasty
