TY Goldinmypan. Yes these last 2 boxes have made the foolishness worth while. Had a decent week MDing too with my first IH and a few good wheats. I am hoping to have a break out day detecting though, just seems like that will be real hard here. No real places to get rings / jewelry from swimming areas...atleast the places don't have a rep for giving up much. And as another member put it "Families have been so poor here for so long that if they had lost a dime or more from the 40's back the whole family would have been looking till they found it."
Now these seems to be a pretty accurate statement. The IH and wheaties were a luck pull that I found someone tearing up a large old lot. Its location and size however compared to other posts from just sidewalk tearouts is very lean on finds.
My county and area is probably still within the top 10 poorest area's in US. LoL I am not very rich myself at all, but am happy and getting by. Have a great family so thats all that matters in the end.
Perhaps someday I can post some great finds like I have seen from you and other members here. Just gonna take much more time and much much more research.
OH and if peps around here would quit stealing so much for pills etc... perhaps getting permission to detect private yards would begin to become easier. I can't blame them saying no. I don't think they don't trust me and even with me backin in the truck with my Vet tags I get many no's.
So many peps around here are leary right now. Many are afraid that even though you are not a crook and would never steal off them that you might accidently say something about what you saw on their property and the word get around to the wrong person. It's either that or I am one very UGLY FATHA!! Could be both LoL.
