I got out to my favorite honey hole for fours hours today. Tried a spot on the grass near a river and what a spot it turned out to be! The quarter is a 1906 Barber that popped out of muddy soil at around 3-4 inches. Unfortunately, it's too rubbed and worn to ID a mint mark, so I'll never know.... The "ring" is actually a modern quarter that was turned into a ring. It came out not far away from the other just a little bit deeper. It's easily the most unique ring find in my collection. This was one of those hunts you don't want to end. Eventually though exhaustion, hunger and fatigue caught up with me and I had to call it a day. It's really exciting to find a new hot spot in a long time producer of a site.
