Another cool "find" Vik. (you know what I mean)

TrickyVik,

It's a British, TOC, aerated water bottle. The British often call them Hamiltons.

He ran afoul of some record keeping requirement in 1901:

"JW Whitehead & Co 81 Rushholme Road Manchester Aerated Water Manufacturers F February 14 Manchester City November 16 Do do 2 0 0 0 14 0" Papers by command - Great Britain. Parliament. House of Commons - Google Books

A recent auction offering went unsold: Antique Torpedo Soda Aqua Blob Bottle Manchester J w White Head Whitehead Co | eBay

~~~~~~~~~~
From a photography standpoint, it is helpful to make photos of the entire bottle. Focusing on the base, embossing, and finish. Natural light, focusing, and cropping extraneous background will make for better identification.
I did take pics of the whole bottle just not in natural light. Any value because I do not think the one on eBay was its maximum price.
$10-15 if mint
Hey Jim,
Fancy seeing you in these parts...
Been here for a few years Surf, was directed here because of an ABN post, your talents will be very welcome here...
Nice of you to say, good sir. :happysmiley: I've been having a blast looking around, and reading back in time on some of the boards. I do feel naked, as I don't have a metal detector. Does a seeing eye shovel count?
I sold my detector to a member here when I first joined, so I mainly stay in this section...
I always say, a bad day at diggin bots is a lot better than a good day metal tectin.
