You know I have semi lurked this site for almost a year now and somehow never saw this section
!!!
Anyhow I live in a house up on a dolomite rock cliff that drops down about 90 feet. The back area of my house at one time was the towns dump area, probably 1960's on back to late 1800's. I have found probably a good 50+ intact bottles in my very few digs. There are a lot more there except it's a pain in the rear to get back up from down there and it also drops off rather steeply into a "creek" that is 20ft deep in some spots with old cars and tractor parts.
There are several whiskey/wine/pill bottles etc. and a whole bunch of I don't know what it was used for but it looks neat types. As soon as I empty my camera in the next couple of days I am going to photograph them and see anyone here is interested in helping me identify them. I am sure some are from local companies and will never know but I hope it can be a fun time and when the ground thaws a bit I am going to get back and look for more, as they are for some who knows what reason, wanting to make a path down there and I am sure I will lose my spot or things will just get shattered =/ I still say they really need to look at where they are going to bobcat thru as the ground is severely!!!!!! undermined by the creek in spots.
