Bottle dump and MD'ng in the woods - My first hunt for the season!!!

Today was my very first hunt for 2009 and my very first target was a 1917 Merc!!!!! I used my Ace 250 today as my Minelab is getting sent in for repairs. We started the day at the bottle dump picking over the millions of bottles just laying on the surface and under the snow, here is what I kept.



Twistidd found the War Nickel, I found the Merc.

Those are some great bottles, and that Merc is gorgeous!

LOL - yea, when I got home I just took a shower and went to bed, I took all the pix here at work. The depth meter is constantly off by 4 inches and it will only stay stable when the sensitivity is at 10 or less.

LOL - The knee is fine, just a small cut. I am just glad that when I fell the 2nd time and instinctively used my hands to brace for my fall that I didn't land on any glass poking through the snow....

Oh, I just saw the video, I miss spelled your screen name on accident, I spelt it "Twisstidd"...

You guys sure cleaned up at that dump. Those are some sweet bottles, and I usually never get excited over bottles.
Nice merc too! That should get you fired up for this season.

That's OK. The extra "s" makes it sound more snake-like!
