Went back out to the dump on my way home today, this time I brought a backpack.I had piled a bunch of bottle's up yesterday and took some of the better lookin' one's along with a couple ceramic mason jar lid's,A Hood Chemical Co. #33 from Pitt. Pa.,a few smaller bottle's including the blue one,a double ended glass thingy that had some wire attached to it and five more glass insulator's.The one has two patent date's on it from 1870 and 1879,it's got a fair sized chip on the bottom but kept it for the date's.A couple wine bottle's with some cool stamping's,and two Lysol bottle's...couldn't fit any more in the pack....HH!!

You go man....I know you can only take a little at a time.....looking forward to more pics! OH......I love the saying on the brown bottle....No peers for 50 years.....pretty catchy! ;D

Nice going Civilman1 .....Those are some cool bottles, I happen to collect the blue glass bottles and find a few here and there! thanks for sharing you finds......The brown one kinda looks like one of the Molson canadian bottles I have.....lolol 8)

Civil,

glad you got back out there.

Nice bottles, insulators.

I've got a nylon sack I carry with me.

If Im heading out for a bunch of bottles I pack
yesterdays paper and wrap each bottle and put
in sack, works out better then you would expect.
Nylon sort of wraps around the load.

Keep pulling them up.

have a good un.............

The double ended glass thingy is a glass Radio Strain Insulator. The insulator with the hole in the top of it is the bottom section of a two-piece transposition (tramp) insulator.

Very nice, Jim
Jim I am ROTFLMAO
My dad had a huge box of those on the dairy farm...We used them to splice the electric fence together to keep the cows in ! Hahaha...Guess its true..you are, what you know! Wait till I tell my sisters what they really are! All over Wisconsin you can still find them hanging on fence posts! Too Funny!

Those are really super nice. Hope you get more from that spot. Tsgman

Reminds me of when I was young and me and my brother digging in old city dumps...Looking for those bitter bottles or any bottle with no screw cape design... Love it here in Japan, but would like to get back to the old dumps where anything could pop up!
Keep it comming!! :)

Nice bottles and insulators! HH, Mike
