Back at the dump again for an hour. Couple of keepers including a cool jam jar

Also a 1899 barber half popped out. It was amazing to see it come out silver then watch it turn black in front of my eyes. This is only the second coin we have found so far. First was a 1909 wheatie. Too much metal to detect the piles of dirt or sift

Nice glass bob

And a sweet surprise with that half. I knew there were coins mixed in there. Hope we see some more come out. See you down there in the morning

Way to go on the Barber silver. I see by your profile that you operate a Eurotek Pro, but it doesn't say where you found this. What to share where?

SWEET Silver find - Congratulations! :headbang:

I found a 1940s bottle dump found some old figurines ect still have gone back I will before summer ends Thanks for the post get me moving on my side Great finds

Nice score on the unexpected half. Nice bottles also

Good finds, all of them

Nice one! Year or so back I was digging around an old dump and found a tin cup with some very old dry rotted plastic folded up inside cup. Turned out to contain a 18k wedding band.

You had a great all around hunt. Pulled some cool glass and snagged that sweet Barber half. :hello2:

Hunting in the Pittsburgh area

WHOA>.. .I didn't know half dollars could do that. What causes the "turn black before my eyes" to happen?

Because of lots of moisture and lack of oxygen being buried for 100 years

The Barber Half is a great find and those bottles will display nicely.

That half is quite a bonus to an excellent bottle outing.
Congratulations

Nice hunt, I love the rush of seeing a coin. I am always looking for round green disks too. I have found lots of coins later when I return after with the detector! Hope you find more!
