Bottle finds

I went out yesterday to a creek where I have had some luck. Although I am not digging I am still finding some cool bottles.

Unfortunately I found an embossed 6 ounce coke bottle that was broken. I did however fin an old sprite embossed bottle {farthest to the right} I did some research and sprite was invented by coke in 1969 to compete with 7 up. The bottle I found is there first logo era 1969 to early 70's. This bottle has a screw cap. All the ones I have seen are pop tops.

Keep at it, you will discover old bottles in creeks and rivers. But be very careful. jgas

Thanks JGAS! I had that thought today climbing up a steep bank with bottles in hand. Almost fell pretty hard. So you're advice resonates very well. Have a good one!

Not sure, but I think that Spite bottle started life in a put your money in and pull out the bottle Coke machine. Nice discovery...
