Bottle top

[HAPPYCAMPER]

Detectin cellar hole earlier this week,buddy found this top behind hole..was hoping someone could give a time frame on this,did find a button close to old road that dates to 1830-1840 period..but think cellar hole older,might go back and look for a trash pit.

Top could very well be from pre-Civil War bottle, perhaps pontilled. Definitely would be worth looking around more.

Agreed, very early lip, 1840-50 wouldn't surprise me....
