Picked up a rock/coin tumbler from Harbor Freight to clean my beach coins with. Works good. Only ran clad for 2 hours. And pennies for 45 min. Used water , fish gravel , dish soap , vinegar , salt. Few pics before and after. Rings thrown in the pics for fun. No , I didn't tumble them. Thanks for looking. IMG_20170609_183709514.webpIMG_20170609_183730656.webpIMG_20170610_162632307.webp

Results are impressive. When it comes to pennies, can you do the zincs and coppers together?

What model did you buy? I had an el-cheapo POS from Hobby Lobby and I worked on it way more than I used it...im currently in the market for a new one, and the proof is in the pudding, judging by your pics. ..thx in advance, Ddf.

I did , and it seemed to work fine. I think some people separate them though. Just don't want to mix pennies with the other coins unless you want pink coins instead of silver.

I bought the el-cheapo one too. Just have to keep the weight of the sealed barrel under 3 lbs.

Thanks for posting your results and recipe.

I've the Harbor Freight double drum. I've settled back into aquarium gravel, just dash of dish detergent - not enough to turn the mix into a snowcone! Maybe less than 1/4 spurt in the squeeze bottles. Run pennies separate from clad - the joy of the double drum, for about an hour each and then they are spendable - a little "toning", but fits right in with modern pocket change.

I've got the same one, 3 years later and it's still running strong.

Nice job! :occasion14: Those Harbor Freight tumblers work very well and are very cheap! :occasion14:
