So I went rogue today and bought an art-glass kaleidoscope. The kaleidoscope is a rod type with glass prism rods for the outer case with copper/brass overlay to solder it together. It has a hand blown marble on the end as the medium held in place by the copper/brass prongs. It sits in a wooden base. The marble is signed on the elongated end but I cannot read it.

I paid $65 which is way more than I would normally pay for, well, anything. I am not exactly sure why I bought it but it was just "calling to me". I normally stay far away from "glass" but I just thought this was unique and beautiful so I bought it. It is what it is I guess. Enjoy.

wow, that really is great. i would've bought that as well. REALLY cool

Very neat marblescope. I've read signed marbles are rare, it would definitely be worth investigating.

The signature says "Jerri" or "Jenni" and the last name starts with an O or a Q and I cannot read the rest.

Update: Thanks for that link guys. Turns out the marble is signed by Jim Davis, a well known marble maker!
