I was at a bank today that I regularly go to (just for banking) and I asked if they had any halves. They only had about $4 loose so I took them--one of the halves was actually a 64 Kennedy. When he put them on the counter to count them I heard that "ping" sound and knew it was silver, I thought probably a 40%er but was happy it was a 90%er instead.
The teller then said they had $75 in old silver dollars. At first I thought he might have meant Morgans or Peace dollars and I almost had a stroke. Then he showed them to me and I saw they were Eisenhowers. I took them all.
No proofs and I don't think any rare years. I need to go through them and see if there are any worth anything. Most look like 71s and 76s.
At least I got a 64 Kennedy with no real effort.
