Crazy, my grandma has been "picking" for me up in Denver. She stops by this store front estate sale place where they bring all the good leftover stuff. They had a liquidation sale this past weekend. Grandma had some bigger things to pick up so the owner met us there. I was planning on picking up a few things. The first thing she says is you can have all the "smalls" for 200. I barely look around and say yes. She the art is separate but as we haul the 6 loads over she adds it to the pile. Then she gives us an offer we can't refuse for big pieces and display cases. She had been running the store for 7 years, but needed it cleaned out. Amazing items, Waterford lamp, ship table, lots of really great items. It will keep me busy all winter. I spent 350 for the whole store☺
The best advise is to leave your number and come back 2 days later after the estate sale. They will be ready to haul it away!!! Right place right time!!! I could tell the owner was done with it all. Hope you all find some great deals!!

Super! Let us know the great stuff you got.

Thanks VP, Ill post some pics in a week or two when I get it all unpacked and bump this up!! Here is some of the stuff she picked up from the 75 percent off sale. The Waterford lamp was 50. img20161101_123733.webp

With that kind of inventory I hope you are going for quick sales. Have fun!

I love this stuff, here is a pic of some more from the sale. Ill keep all the books and sell them for 5 a piece. Someone looked them up and priced them. I found a few keepers. It would be nice to get my boys to list them. Ill put the katchina dolls on eBay maybe. I would love to flip it all quick. I sold the table already. There is a lot more. img20161102_125118.webpimg20161102_125149.webpimg20161102_125249.webpimg20161102_125035.webp

The dolls are a great find. That odd stuff is what I like to find and sell or keep.

The bear in the first photo--is that a Hermann?

Thanks Beans the odd stuff is always the best!
Cb73, the bear is a steiff bear, I almost was able to get 2 of them.

Unloaded another load. Lots of pictures. A large tribute of Bessie and Roy King in early Grass Valley California.img20161108_072627.webp It will be fun to research the couple, it would be great to return this to relatives. The other red frame says early frontier lacework. img20161108_072842.webp
img20161108_072819.webpThe print of Kit Carson is great, although I have never been a fan of him. img20161108_073225.webpVery interesting framed bonds, and pictures. img20161108_073402.webp
img20161108_073435.webpGreat story about Russian bonds. img20161108_072431.webp 3 phonix art group pictures.img20161108_073501.webp Lots more to go:)

So I'm still trying to figure it out. Did you only spend $350 for everything??

Grandma spent quite at the sale before she offered us everything.
Sorry for the confusion. The first picture was bought separately at the 75 percent liquidation sale. The 350 covers everything else except the first picture I posted. My Grandma passed by the store for 7 years not knowing it was there. Poor location. Everything was researched, and priced, except I had to return the price tags. Everything seems to have value. There is a lot more☺ I hope this is an interesting thread and I'm not just posting my hoarding issues. Hope you all enjoy. I am having fun with this stuff, I love it!

The store was at Alameda and Kipling, gone now.

Nice! Any way I could possible get a picture of the stock/bond that looks like three $5 bills in the far left of the picture of the bonds?

Here you go, this one didn't have glass and there was more folded behind! Stickers on the back indicate from
golden, framed in Grand Juction. img20161109_080344.webpimg20161109_080415.webp
Here are 2 display cases I set up last night, They look great at night in my shop:). The display cases were included in the sale, not the glass. I have not put the doors on yet. I do love glass. img20161109_081034.webpimg20161109_081102.webp

Another outstanding score.
If you are selling what you have "Picked" then by definition, , you're not hoarding.
Congratulations

My wife might disagree, but she was happy with the sale. She found some great stuff. We unloaded 6 boxes of collectables yesterday. Ill get some pics of the good stuff. This was in one of the boxes. Legal prohibition whiskey :)img20161113_063220.webpimg20161113_063204.webpimg20161113_063140.webp
I don't think Its too valuable, but I will enjoy the last tablespoon:).

That is one fantastic score for $350 dollars, congratulations!

Thought I would finish the pics. img20161120_045632.webpimg20161120_045530.webpimg20161120_045447.webpimg20161120_045420.webpimg20161120_045400.webpimg20161120_045330.webpimg20161120_045223.webpimg20161120_045036.webpimg20161120_045159.webpimg20161120_045057.webpimg20161120_051527.webp
Perspective is funny, the first day I traded 1 Katchina for 2 cigar boxes of turquoise. Probably paid for it all. I didn't take pictures of a lot of plates, more books, postcards, tintypes, newer collectables, old dolls, old maps, lots and lots of things. It was such a great sale. My Grandma and I have lots to talk about. Lots to list on eBay and lots to keep for my store. There is a picture of a giant display case that was also part of the deal. The ship table is my favorite. I have to somehow restore the chip. The old money is interesting, Ill post in the currency section. I think the tapestries are worth some bucks. I love any responses. I hope you enjoy the pics. If your in Victor stop by the Muleshoe!!!!

Nice! Wouldn't mind bidding on an item or two myself when listed.

Great pictures and what a buy! Looking forward to more pics and sales from it.
