This is a response on 4/22 I received from City of Boulder Parks.
"Thank you for requesting information on the rules and guidelines for using a metal detector in the city of Boulder. It is legal to use a metal detector in the public spaces in the city of Boulder, however, you may not cause damage to any turf or other areas from digging to find objects. Also, in areas that charge entry fees like the Boulder Reservoir, you will be responsible to pay for the entry.
Thanks again for your request and have fun!"
