Bounty Hunter Time Ranger V3.

Can anyone give me any information about the version 3 Time Ranger and how the C cell batteries work.
Other models all have 2 X 9 Volts, so I'd like to know how the detector can work on only 2 X 1.6 Volts.?

It has a circuit that ups the c-cell voltage to the working value. The voltage is normally regulated to well below 9 volts anyway, so it can operate with partially-exhausted batteries and still have full depth.-Ed
