Bounty Hunter Track IV ???

I was going to buy an ACE250 when I'd saved enough money to get into this hobby. But, a guy from work offered to sell me his Bounty Hunter TrackerIV for $50. He bought it new from Radio Shack a couple years ago because he lost his keys in the snow. He said he paid $160.00 When he found them, he put it in his garage and it's been sitting there ever since. So, it's only been used once. Do you think it is worth the $50 he's asking? I checked it out and it seems to work fine. What do you think?

Yep sounds like a good deal to me. I used to have one and it did a good job.

As long as it's functional that's a great deal. You could turn around and sell it on ebay for a nice profit!

My son uses the bh trackerIV and he out does me from time to time. He can pick out the sound of a coin in no time...It is worth the $50. Having fun is the main thing and you will.

My wife paid $120 for the same detector this Christmas for me.

$50 is a great deal--even if you flip it on ebay.

Wow, I'm glad I bought it then. It is working great as long as I keep a charged battery in it. I noticed that it detects much better when the ground is wet.

Also....the reason I responded so late was because I just found the "Replies to my post" thing.
