Brand New Metal Detector

Hello everyone! I am glad I found this site...very insightful. Had some extra money and I bought a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger for only $180. I know some folks aren't fans of them, but on a tight budget, I figured it was an easy decision. I have never detected before...a little gold panning out west is all. I look forward to detecting, being in the heartland of history. I love it! Any pointers for my specific md? I am a bit surprised there are no video tutorials. Oh well, I look forward to learning as I go.
