brand new to metal detecting (bounty hunter elite 2200)

hey everyone! brand new to this metal detecting stuff. I have a bounty hunter 2200 and was wondering if anyone owns one and has some tips. any advice is appreciated. I took it to my local park this morning for about 20 minutes and found a pull tab, beer bottle cap, and a few gum foils. everything was on top of the ground. I got a lot of signals but wasnt able to pinpoint and dig them up. any tips on this? thanks everyone!

Sounds like a good start, first try turning down sensitivity and up on disc Just for a bit to u get use to it and practice pin pointing the more you go the better you will get with it. I don't have that same detector but have had lots of bh's in the past. And even with my other machines. I start out simple and slowly learn what's the best settings for where I'm at.
