Brass and Copper and Silver oh my!

I found these after digging through a couple inches of snow and four or five inches of frozen ground. My detecting days are winding down...

An 1840 Queen Victoria Nova Scotia Half Penny Thistle token, a 1955 silver American dime and a brass peg used in shipbuilding.

I bet you were pissed when you saw the 1955 dime! It doesn't compare to Spanish silver!

You got that right! Actually there were a couple reales found in that particular area. A half reale and a two reale. I was hoping... The area is a corn field but was once a ferry landing. A lot of old copper had been found there and seven pieces of silver, eight including my dime. It was hard hunting because the corn was just cut and was still 6 inches high so we had to detect around...
 
Like that Half Penny. :) First of that type I have seen. Might clean up a little better with a good olive oil soak.

I know I said this more than once. To bad about how the coppers get around your soils. But atleast your finding them.
