✅ SOLVED Brass belt buckle and dress weight

Does anyone have any thoughts about this brass buckle and the dress weight. The weight seems pretty large and the buckle has no markings, but is heavy brass. Thank you in advance for any help.

Seems large for a dress weight. I'd say curtain.

I have found a couple of those buckles dont know anything about them but they crack bottles of beer easily

Another member said they are covers for horses bridle buckles to keep any brush from snagging on them.
