🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Brass Item found in 1860-70s saloons

Any ideas on this item? I found this in a trash pit from an old saloon site dating to the mid 1860s through the later 1870s. It’s brass and threaded and the end has a center hole? No stamps or makers marks other than the lines toward the point. Any help is appreciated as always.

Probably a tapper handle, the hole in the end was because it was machined on a metal lathe.IMO

The other two guys nailed it. Beer tap handle. Check some more. You might find the tap.
