Hi all.
Found this on the Thames bank near Kew Bridge.
Very good condition so must be not so old.Very heavy 160grams.
If anyone know more about this nail(spike)please share your knowledge.
Many thanks
The National Park Service in its historic structures restoration
program has developed some research techniques...
The History of Nail Making History does not record who it was, but the incredible results of that
inspirational moment are all around us - in the houses we live in,
the bridges we cross, the furniture we sit on...
It looks like lots of bridge building has gone on there over the years , so my guess is a bridge spike.
here's a little something about the area .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kew_Bridge
