Any ideas? The smaller piece is attached to the larger by two small rivets and there is one larger rivet at the wide end of the larger piece; this rivet it attached to nothing. Thanks!

I have a couple of these. Mine say" Dr. Scholls" on them and were a support or a type of brace for a shoe. I'll look for them tomorrow and see what else the say on them.
