brass or copper drawer faceplate?

found this in my yard, any idea what it is , looks like copper or brass found about 6 inches down

Looks like a brass escucheon plate to me. The pull would've gone through the two loops which bolted on the inside of the drawer front. Dresser or something like that. Nice find!
